The Resurrection of
Bladder Stick Morris dancing team Plymouth bladder stck morris we have brought some bells with us Plymouth Dan Petley Sam Bennetts

Hail the Bladder Stick!

The Bladder Stick is back and is kicking some serious ass in Bristol.

Our new home is the Old England in Montpellier, where we practice out the back in W. G. Grace's very own cricket nets before the stand up comedy every Thursday from 7pm (because we upset people too much in the Bell).

Alex is the Squire/Bagman,

Imogen is the Foreperson,

...and I suppose Dan Petley is the Ragman

We meet every Thursday 7pm, The Old England!

We are a serious 'folk' dance side, meaning that we are a congregation of folk who gather together to ritualistically declare our allegiance to carefully contrived 'traditions' through the meduim of dance.

One of these traditions is contemporary morris dance. Some would say that we strike a good balance between traditional and contemporary folk dancing. We are proud members of Open Morris, a fantastic organisation, who allow us to perform our public antics legally in a number of interesting places.
We have a striking green and black costume and perform a number of stick dances, as well as some entertaining chants and songs.

Please Join us! We are relatively interesting.

Yours Sincerely, Dan Petley, Founder of Bladder Stick Morris
